The Pure Ambanja

The Pure Ambanja

If you know us in any capacity. You know we strive for producing as close to pure, natural, wild type Ambanja panther chameleons as possible. To keep the pure, wild type locale look strong. We take in all the stress and sometimes heartbreak of caring for wild caught chameleons. So we can expand the captive genetics for the community. This is not an easy task at all. It takes a lot of work, time and patience. Sometimes it ends well, other times it doesn't. We will NEVER produce cross locales intentionally to go with color fads. Trust that we will do everything we can to insure we are producing wild type looking panther chameleons as much as possible.

It is disheartening when the Ambanja locale doesn't look the same anymore. In most cases this locale is becoming a thing of the past. When I say Ambanja what comes to mind? What traits do you think of? You may be surprised at what you think is normal or natural.

Our friend Jonathan Hill of iPardalis has written an amazing blog post on this very topic. We highly recommend you give it a read. See what you thought about the Ambanja Locale. Does it match up?
